Large grid chart paper with bar graph outline
75 Post-It notes
Markers
ACTIVITY
Each guest entering the room will write their first name on a Post-It
note and place it on the bar graph in the appropriate column
At the end of the event, guests will be invited to view the completed
graph and answer the following questions:
• How long is the
shortest name?
• How long is the longest name?
• What is the commonest length for a first name?
• Most names range from about how long to how long?
• Are there any outliers (extremely short or long names)?
